Buterin: AI Won't Bring Down Bitcoin
Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, has weighed in on the idea that artificial intelligence (AI) may pose a threat to Bitcoin's dominance. Speaking at an event, he dismissed concerns about AI potentially causing a downturn in the cryptocurrency market.
In his statement, Buterin noted that he doesn't think AI will have any significant impact on the price of Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies in the near future. He emphasized that while AI has made tremendous progress in recent years, it's still not advanced enough to pose a serious threat to the financial system.
Buterin's comments come as some analysts and investors have raised concerns about the potential for AI-powered trading systems to disrupt the cryptocurrency market. However, Buterin's view is that these concerns are largely unfounded and that the relationship between AI and cryptocurrencies will likely be more collaborative than adversarial in the long term.
