Buterin Downplays AI Threat to Bitcoin Security
Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, has expressed his views on the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on Bitcoin's security. He believes that the chances of AI advances posing a threat to Bitcoin's security are 'extremely low.'
According to Buterin, attacks at the network layer can be addressed through upgrades to clients and mining pools. He emphasized that if a security threat can be addressed technically, the Bitcoin ecosystem can resolve it through its own upgrades.
Buterin also disagreed with projections that AI could weaken Bitcoin's security architecture and cause a price drop of more than 50% within two years.
