Bybit Breaks Barrier with First-Ever US Equity Perp Options Launch
Bybit, the world's second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has launched an innovative feature called Perp Options. This is the first time a platform offers 24/7 options on stock perpetuals.
The new service allows traders to buy and sell naked options, straddles, spreads, and combo trades with fractional lot sizes. This eliminates the traditional $25,000 minimum and 100 share-lot requirements of the options market.
Bybit's Perp Options are based on TradFi perpetuals and will be settled via Tether USD (USDT). The feature will integrate fully with Bybit's Unified Trading Account (UTA) and support a range of trading strategies.
The platform plans to expand the line-up of available options on a rolling basis, starting with Tesla, QQQ, SOXL, Micron, and others. This move is expected to give traders a competitive edge against their traditional market counterparts by providing round-the-clock access to US equity perpetuals.
