Bybit EU Partners with MEXC Amid Dutch Regulatory Exit
Bybit EU has partnered with MEXC to support Dutch users in transitioning to a regulated platform following MEXC's decision to cease operations in the Netherlands. The partnership comes as a result of European regulatory requirements, specifically the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR), which mandates that all crypto-asset service providers operating in the EU hold appropriate authorisation.
Nazar Tymoshchuk, Regional Country Manager at Bybit, stated, 'We're pleased to welcome Dutch users who are looking for a regulated, compliant platform to continue their crypto journey.'
MEXC users in the Netherlands will receive direct communication from MEXC with guidance on next steps and timelines. Those who choose to move to Bybit EU will need to create and verify a new account independently - no accounts or assets will be automatically migrated.
Bybit EU operates under a MiCAR authorisation granted by the Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA) since May 2025, segregating user funds from company assets as required by regulation. The platform offers EUR top-ups and withdrawals via SEPA and iDEAL, and supports over 115 tokens across 135 trading pairs in both USDC and EUR.
