Bybit EU Supports MEXC Users in Transition Amid Regulatory Changes
Bybit EU has partnered with MEXC to support Dutch users transitioning to their platform due to regulatory requirements. MEXC ceased operations in the Netherlands after the implementation of the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR), which requires crypto-asset service providers to hold proper authorization.
Nazar Tymoshchuk, Regional Country Manager at Bybit, stated that they are 'pleased' to welcome Dutch users looking for a regulated and compliant platform. The MiCAR framework protects European users, and Bybit is committed to providing a secure experience for those transitioning to their EU platform.
MEXC's Chief Compliance Officer, Robert MacDonald, emphasized the importance of ensuring a seamless transition for their users, citing Bybit's strong regulatory framework and commitment to user protection. Users are encouraged to complete their transition by October 31, 2026, with final offboarding from MEXC set for November 16, 2026.
Bybit EU offers a welcome package for eligible new registrants, including bonus rewards, preferential trading fees, and cashback on the Bybit Card. A dedicated landing page provides step-by-step guidance, FAQs, and links to customer support for Dutch users.
