Bybit Expands Digital Asset Payments Through Partnership With Mesh
Bybit Pay has partnered with Mesh to enable its users to pay directly from their Bybit balance on Mesh-powered platforms. This integration removes the need for users to withdraw funds or manually convert assets before making a payment.
The partnership allows Bybit's 80 million users to spend their assets without leaving the exchange, using Bybit Pay as a payment option. For businesses, this connection offers a direct link to Bybit's global user base through their existing Mesh integration.
Mesh describes itself as building a global payments network that connects exchanges, wallets, and financial-services platforms for digital-asset transactions. The exchange's payment rails handle conversion and settlement on the back end, so merchants can price transactions in the asset they want while customers pay with a different asset from their Bybit account.
Sophie Chen, Bybit's head of marketing for Card and Pay, said that Bybit Pay is designed to remove friction between holding digital assets and using them to pay. Bam Azizi, Mesh's CEO and co-founder, added that Bybit has one of the most engaged communities in crypto, and users shouldn't have to move their money to use it.
