Bybit Expands Forex Offerings with USDT-Settled Perpetual Futures Contracts
Bybit has introduced three USDT-settled perpetual futures contracts for major currency pairs, expanding its TradFi Perpetuals offering. The new contracts track EUR/USD, GBP/USD, and USD/JPY, allowing traders to gain exposure to these leading forex currency pairs without owning the underlying fiat currencies.
The contracts operate around the clock, including weekends and holidays, with a maximum leverage of up to 100x. This means that traders can manage larger positions relative to their posted collateral, although it also increases liquidation risk from minimal price fluctuations.
Bybit's Unified Trading Account framework employs adaptive leverage and funding rate systems to maintain alignment between contract prices and reference values. The platform has not disclosed initial trading volume or liquidity metrics for these new instruments.
