Bybit Migrates USDC to New Hot Wallets in Infrastructure Upgrade

Bybit has announced plans to upgrade its hot wallet infrastructure starting September 4, 2026. The exchange will migrate a substantial amount of USDC to newly created hot wallets over several days.

The migration is expected to be completed by September 10, with Bybit warning users that the resulting large on-chain transfers are internal and do not affect user funds.

This marks the third wallet upgrade Bybit has pre-announced since December 2025, following similar upgrades in January and December of last year. Each time, the exchange has stated that the transfers are part of routine operational upgrades.
