Bybit Plunges into $9.6 Trillion FX Market with Perpetual Contracts

Share

Bybit, the Dubai-based cryptocurrency exchange, has expanded its derivatives business into the foreign exchange (FX) market. The company launched three perpetual contracts that allow traders to speculate on major currency pairs with up to 100x leverage.

The new instruments track EUR/USD, GBP/USD, and USD/JPY, and operate around the clock, including weekends and holidays when traditional FX desks are closed. These contracts have no expiration date, allowing positions to be held indefinitely without rolling into new maturities.

Bybit said the launch is a bridge between crypto-native trading infrastructure and the world's largest financial marketplace. The exchange aims to offer traders a more flexible and accessible way to participate in the FX market.
