Bybit Secures EMI License from Austria's FMA, Expanding EU Presence
Bybit has secured an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license from Austria's Financial Market Authority (FMA), allowing it to offer regulated payment services across the European Union. This development comes as the global cryptocurrency market continues to face increasing scrutiny and regulation.
The EMI license grants Bybit access to a vast EU customer base, enabling the exchange to provide users with secure and compliant payment options. The move is seen as a significant step forward for Bybit in its efforts to expand its presence in the European market.
Bybit's acquisition of PT Enkripsi Teknologi Handal, formerly NOBI, also contributed to its expansion into Indonesia. This strategic partnership has enabled the exchange to establish a locally-run platform, further solidifying its position in the Southeast Asian region.
