Bybit Sees Crypto's 'Transformation' into Mainstream Finance
Bybit, the world's second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, participated in the Hong Kong Web3 Festival on April 21, 2026. The event marked its fourth year and featured discussions on regulatory frameworks, technological infrastructure, and the integration of digital assets into mainstream finance.
Mykolas Majauskas, Global Head of Policy at Bybit, joined a panel titled 'From Backend to Frontend: How Crypto Assets Are Making Their Way into Mainstream Finance.' Alongside Franklin Bi from Pantera Capital and Steve Zeng from Futu, the trio explored crypto's transition from the periphery to the core of mainstream finance.
'Crypto's transformation from a speculative asset class to financial infrastructure is happening now,' said Majauskas. 'Many leading institutions and authorities already acknowledged that the time for experimentation is over. This is going live.'
