Bybit Sues North Korea Over $1.5B Crypto Hack, Assets Frozen

Bybit has filed a lawsuit against North Korea over a $1.5 billion cryptocurrency hack, and a court has granted an order freezing the assets allegedly linked to the attack.

The hacking incident occurred in 2018, when North Korean hackers targeted Bybit's parent company, BFIL International Limited, which is registered in the British Virgin Islands.

Bybit claims that the hackers stole over $1.5 billion worth of cryptocurrencies from its wallets and used them to fund various activities, including buying real estate and luxury goods.
