Bybit Unveils Unified Chat Interface for 80 Million Users
Bybit, the second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has launched Bybit AI, a conversational assistant that integrates its core services behind one chat interface. This move is significant as it allows users to communicate their needs in plain language, and the AI will then carry out the desired actions on their behalf.
The assistant currently covers spot, futures, and options trading, as well as Bybit Earn, Copy Trading, Trading Bot, Loan, P2P, the Bybit Card, Spot X, the Rewards Hub, notification, and subscription management. The roadmap indicates a plan to connect trading, earn, loans, card, and support through a unified Open API.
Bybit's decision is influenced by the success of similar conversational assistants in other industries, such as Bank of America's Erica, which has handled over 3.2 billion interactions since its launch in 2018. Bybit AI aims to expand its capabilities, just like Erica, and make it easier for users to access various services without having to navigate menus.
The exchange's surface area has expanded rapidly, with the user base growing from 10 million in 2022 to over 80 million by the end of 2025. Market share has also increased, with Bybit now ranking second among centralised exchanges at 8.1% of spot volume, according to CoinGecko.
The security design of Bybit AI is notable for creating a dedicated sub-account that is isolated from the user's main balance. This removes the risk of model errors affecting users' capital and caps the consequences by construction rather than detection.
