CAKE Token Rises on Deflationary Narrative and Bullish Market Trend
PancakeSwap's CAKE token surged by 3.3% over the past 20 hours, driven by the deflationary narrative surrounding its tokenomics and a bullish market trend.
The intensified focus on CAKE's deflationary design has been a key driver of its recent performance. According to CoinMarketCap, over 102% of newly minted CAKE is burned weekly under the 'Ultrasound CAKE' tokenomics. This means that while the total supply is approximately 5.09 billion, about 93% is in a burn address, making the tradable supply around 339 million and falling by about 6% annually.
This narrative has attracted both momentum traders and value-focused investors, contributing to CAKE's price increase from roughly $1.72 to around $1.75-$1.77 over the past day. The broader market trend is also supportive, with a risk-on environment and capital rotating into altcoins and DeFi. BNB-chain DeFi names have been gaining attention, positioning CAKE as a core DEX governance play.
