Caliber Tokenizes First Real Estate Investment with Reusable On-Chain Credentials
Caliber has made history by tokenizing its first real estate investment, known as PURE Pickleball & Padel. This project, located in Scottsdale, Arizona, is a 196,000-square-foot indoor pickleball and padel complex that includes 40 pickleball courts, eight padel courts, and a 1,200-seat arena.
The tokenization process was made possible through the integration of Sumsub's identity verification services with Chainlink's Automated Compliance Engine (ACE). This partnership allows verified investors to create reusable on-chain investor credentials that can be used across future tokenized real estate investments.
According to Chris Loeffler, CEO of Caliber, 'Tokenizing PURE Pickleball & Padel gives us a practical first use case where we can connect the technology to a real asset, a real investor experience, and a real operating business.' He added that the company is not changing what investors own, but rather applying better technology to make private real estate ownership more transparent, efficient, and functional.
