California Congressman Derek Tran Sells Litecoin via Coinbase

California's 45th congressional district representative Derek Tran has made headlines after selling Litecoin via Coinbase, according to a recent congressional trade report.

The sale took place on July 28, 2025, through a cryptocurrency wallet, with the value of the Litecoin sold ranging between $1,001 and $15,000.

Tran noted in the comments section that he initially believed the coin's value to be less than $1,000 when initiating the trade, but it had fluctuated to just over $1,000 by the time the sale was settled.
