Canary Capital's Staked TRX ETF Aims to Tap Tron's Staking Rewards
A new staked TRX ETF is coming to the US market, pending approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission. The Canary Staked TRX ETF, proposed by asset manager Canary Capital, would trade under the ticker TRXS. This fund aims to give American investors regular brokerage access to TRX price exposure while tapping into Tron's staking rewards.
The key feature of this fund is its staking strategy, which allocates nearly all of its TRX holdings to generating staking rewards. The fund would keep 80% of these rewards after paying fees capped at 20%. An annual sponsor fee of 1.10%, payable in TRX or cash, would apply to the trust's holdings.
The registration statement for this fund remains preliminary, with no SEC effectiveness notice or confirmed launch date as of September 4th. The fund is expected to list on Cboe and issue baskets of 10,000 shares, using either cash or TRX depending on the circumstances.
