Canton Surges as Franklin Templeton Joins Network
The cryptocurrency market saw significant movements on August 12, with Canton (CC) leading the gainers. The asset rose 4.6% to $0.09946, with its market cap climbing to $3.91 billion and volume increasing by 37.38%. This surge can be attributed to the announcement that Franklin Templeton, an asset manager overseeing over $1.5 trillion, has become a Super Validator on the Canton network.
NEAR Protocol (NEAR) also made gains, rising 2.93% to $1.64 with its market cap reaching $2.14 billion and volume increasing by 20%. The growth is attributed to the launch of staking for NEAR AI, which allows users to stake NEAR to access confidential inference and always-on agents.
Chainlink (LINK) climbed 4% to $8.72, with its market cap reaching $6.52 billion and volume increasing by 65.64%. The increase is due to the confirmation that xStocks is now live on Hyperliquid, powered by Chainlink's CCIP technology.
On the other hand, Audiera (BEAT) dropped 20.37% to $1.10, with its market cap falling to $366.49 million and volume increasing slightly. This decline can be attributed to a large BEAT token unlock on August 1, which added supply pressure to the market.
