Capital B Becomes Europe's Second-Largest Publicly-Traded Bitcoin Holder
French-listed company Capital B has become the second-largest publicly-traded Bitcoin holder in Europe after purchasing 376 BTC for €25.3 million ($29.4 million). The acquisition brings its total holdings to 3,521 BTC and costs approximately €309.4 million ($359.3 million) on average per bitcoin.
The company funded the purchase through about €30.1 million ($35 million) in capital raises, including a €28.7 million private placement backed by investors like Blockstream co-founder Adam Back and French asset manager TOBAM.
Capital B's latest acquisition puts it ahead of H100 Group, a Sweden-based bitcoin treasury firm with 3,506 Bitcoins. The top three largest publicly traded Bitcoin holders in Europe are now Bitcoin Group SE (3,605 BTC), Capital B (3,521 BTC), and H100 (3,506 BTC).
