Capital B SA Joins European Companies Buying BTC for Treasury Reserves
Capital B SA has completed a significant capital increase of €25.3 million and used the proceeds to acquire 376 Bitcoin, adding another European name to the growing list of companies using BTC as a core balance-sheet asset.
The company acquired the Bitcoin at an average price of €67,287 per coin, bringing its total treasury reserve to more than 1,800 BTC. This strategy is similar to that employed by MicroStrategy and Metaplanet, but Capital B's approach has its own unique characteristics.
Investors will be watching to see whether this model continues, as it can have both positive and negative effects on a company's value. When Bitcoin falls, the increased exposure can add pressure, while in bullish markets, it can attract investors who view the equity partly as a BTC proxy.
