Capital B Secures €21 Million to Expand Its Bitcoin Treasury
Capital B, a Bitcoin treasury company, is set to raise €21 million through a private placement of shares. The funds will be used in conjunction with operating capital to acquire an additional 270 BTC, bringing the total to a potential 3,415 BTC.
The deal involves the issuance of 36,219,070 new shares at a price of €0.58 per unit, resulting in gross proceeds of €21.01 million and estimated net proceeds of approximately €19.9 million after fees.
On paper, the immediate impact on Capital B's stated measure of Bitcoin backing per diluted share is minimal, with an almost unchanged figure of 7.4711 BTC per million shares.
However, it's worth noting that four warrants are attached to each new share, creating a layer of contingent dilution that could potentially increase the overall number of outstanding shares in the future.
