Capital B Secures €21M for Bitcoin Treasury Expansion
Capital B has secured €21 million in funding to expand its Bitcoin treasury. The company announced a private placement on August 28, attracting institutional investors such as Blockstream co-founder Adam Back and Paris-based asset manager TOBAM. In total, 36.2 million shares carrying four subscription warrants each were issued at €0.58 per unit, producing gross proceeds of €21,007,060.60.
The net proceeds from the placement are estimated to be around €19.9 million, primarily used for additional Bitcoin purchases and balance-sheet support. Capital B expects that with this funding and its operating resources, it can acquire an additional 270 Bitcoin, taking its total holdings to approximately 3,415 BTC.
Notably, the warrant exercise could generate an additional €135.8 million, but this remains conditional on investor decisions and prices. The company plans to complete a reverse stock split on September 8, which will exchange ten existing shares for one new share.
