Capital B Secures €21M for Large-Scale Bitcoin Expansion
European investment firm Capital B has secured €21 million in funding to expand its Bitcoin holdings. The capital raise targets institutional investors and aims to purchase up to 270 additional BTC, bringing the company's total holdings to approximately 3,415 BTC. This move reflects a growing trend among publicly traded companies adopting Bitcoin as a reserve asset.
The offering involves the issuance of 36,219,070 new shares at €0.58 per share. Notable participants include Blockstream CEO Adam Back and digital asset manager TOBAM. The funds will be used to purchase BTC in the open market, subject to regulatory approvals and market conditions.
This development positions Capital B among larger corporate Bitcoin holders in Europe, reinforcing the growing acceptance of Bitcoin as a legitimate treasury asset.
