Capital B Sees 12% Bitcoin Holdings Boost Amid Fundraising Risks
Capital B, a French bitcoin treasury company listed on Euronext Growth Paris, has increased its bitcoin holdings by 12 percent over three weeks. The company now holds 3,521 bitcoins, up from 3,145 in late August.
The value of these holdings per share has not changed significantly, however. Capital B's diluted satoshis per share rose only to 736.6 from 736.4 during this period. The company's common shares outstanding increased by about 12 percent to 382,506,040 from 330,306,740.
CryptoSlate reported that the impact of additional coins was offset by new share issuance, making it uncertain whether the increase in holdings will have a significant effect on the company's performance. Capital B has raised funds through various means, including attaching warrants to common shares and issuing convertible bonds tied to bitcoin's value.
