Capital.com Expands Crypto Trading to UAE After Kenya and South Africa
Capital.com is expanding its cryptocurrency trading services in the Middle East by preparing to launch spot crypto trading in the United Arab Emirates. This move follows similar launches in Kenya and South Africa, where the platform has secured regulatory licenses.
The UAE Capital Market Authority has granted a virtual-asset license to Capital Vault, an affiliate of Capital.com. This license allows Capital Vault to act as an agent or matched principal in virtual-asset transactions and provide custody services.
Once launched, UAE customers will be able to buy and hold actual cryptocurrencies through the Capital.com app, moving beyond the platform’s existing contracts-for-difference (CFD) offering. CFDs provide price exposure without ownership of the underlying assets.
