Capital.com Secures UAE License for Spot Cryptocurrency Trading
Capital.com has obtained a virtual asset license from the UAE Capital Market Authority to offer spot cryptocurrency trading services. The approval enables the platform to provide users in the UAE with direct ownership of digital assets separate from its existing CFD offerings.
The company's subsidiary, Capital Vault UAE, received authorization on August 21 and will oversee trade execution, asset settlement, and safekeeping responsibilities for qualified investors. Users will interact with these offerings via the Capital.com mobile and web application through a distinct regulated subsidiary.
Capital.com presently delivers cryptocurrency market exposure via contracts for difference across multiple authorized regions. CFDs enable participants to speculate on price fluctuations without holding actual digital tokens. The forthcoming UAE offering will instead provide customers with authentic ownership of acquired cryptocurrencies.
