Capitulation Signals Suggest Bitcoin's Bear Market May Be Ending
VanEck reports that eight out of twelve capitulation signals for Bitcoin are currently active, suggesting the prolonged 11-month price correction may be nearing its end. This is significant because historically, Bitcoin's bear markets average about 12.7 months in duration.
The data shows that long-term holders have sold 356,000 BTC in the past 30 days, reducing their supply share below 60%. According to VanEck, this is a sign of capitulation among patient investors.
However, it's essential to note that these signals are not reliable for short-term timing but may indicate stronger returns over a one-year horizon. The report also mentions that historically, price turnarounds occur between September and November in Bitcoin's bear markets.
