Cardano Aims to Boost Bitcoin's DeFi Use Without Compromise
Charles Hoskinson, founder of Cardano, recently spoke about how his platform can enhance Bitcoin's DeFi capabilities without compromising its security or principles. According to Hoskinson, Cardano's unique architecture, including its privacy-focused sidechain Midnight, could support private Bitcoin lending and DeFi applications.
Hoskinson pointed out that Cardano's upcoming Leios upgrade is expected to increase transaction speed by 60 times and improve scalability and interoperability. This improvement in performance will make the network more appealing for institutional use.
Cardano's on-chain governance, combined with its innovative features, position the network to expand Bitcoin's utility while preserving decentralization and privacy. Hoskinson emphasized that these innovations are designed to complement rather than replace Bitcoin.
