Cardano and Injective Unite Through IBC Rail, Paving Way for Cross-Chain Liquidity
Cardano and Injective have established a live testnet link through the Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol, marking the first on-chain IBC rail to the Cardano network.
This connection allows for direct ADA transfers to Injective without wrapping the token through a custodial bridge, as well as native INJ access on the Cardano chain for trading and other applications.
Injective, a Cosmos-based chain built for finance-focused applications, has been running on the IBC protocol through the Cosmos network. This setup enables separate blockchains to talk to each other and move assets directly using IBC's messaging layer.
The Cardano-Injective link gives the ADA blockchain access to a wider set of chains beyond its own base layer. With this integration, users can transfer funds between the two networks without relying on custodial bridges, which have been targets for past exploits.
