Cardano Brings Blockchain Verification to Azzas 2154 Supply Chain
The Cardano Foundation and Brazilian firm Blockforce have deployed a dual-ledger architecture for Azzas 2154, Latin America's largest fashion group. This system allows the company to audit leather sourcing across its supply chain by cross-referencing tax data and supplier records.
The technical solution utilizes a permissioned network based on Hyperledger Fabric to host sensitive business data, while cryptographic proofs for each batch are published on the public Cardano blockchain.
This method allows external auditors to verify batch authenticity without exposing internal commercial data. According to Blockforce, the availability of verifiable public proofs is emerging as an entry requirement for international trade into European territory due to regulations such as the EU's deforestation rules and digital product passport mandates.
