Cardano Enters Dijkstra Era with New Upgrades and Improvements
The Cardano ecosystem is shifting its focus to the Dijkstra era, a significant upgrade that will introduce new features and improvements. This transition follows the completion of the van Rossem intra-era hard fork on July 18, which laid the groundwork for future upgrades.
According to Intersect, a member-based organization in the Cardano ecosystem, planning has begun for the Dijkstra era. This includes defining a process through which the community can contribute to shaping the scope of future hard forks beyond the initial Dijkstra release.
The first phase of the Dijkstra rollout is expected to occur across several phases, introducing Nested Transactions, Linear Leios, and Peras. The Haskell node team's current objective is to deliver the first two phases to mainnet by the end of 2026, allowing an incremental rollout of key Dijkstra capabilities.
