Cardano Enters Official x402 Codebase, ADA Price Faces Uncertainty
Cardano's (ADA) integration into the x402 codebase has been completed by Cardano Foundation engineers. This move gives developers direct access to Cardano through x402, a native open payments protocol.
x402 is an open-source protocol that allows applications and AI agents to make payments without needing a card or user account. The integration brings ADA into the official reference codebase for developers working with the protocol.
According to Phil from UPLC, this change reduces work for developers by allowing them to use Cardano core code more directly when building decentralized applications. Updates made to Cardano can now flow into downstream tools that use WASM code.
