Cardano Fails to Keep Pace as ADA Underperforms Market
Cardano's ADA price has been struggling to keep pace with other major cryptocurrencies in recent days, despite a series of positive developments for the project. The ADA price is up 9.07% over the past 24 hours, but this pales in comparison to the gains made by XRP (17%), Ethereum (18%), and Solana (12%). Bitcoin has also jumped 11.49%, further highlighting Cardano's underperformance.
The latest institutional development that should have given ADA a boost is its inclusion in T. Rowe Price's Active Crypto ETF, which manages nearly $1.9 trillion in assets. However, the allocation to ADA is only 0.44%, and this may not be enough to significantly impact the price.
The Cardano Foundation has also been actively working on various projects, including a 2.5 million ADA pilot fund that will support teams developing products such as oracles, stablecoins, and on-chain identity tools. The Dijkstra upgrade is another major development for Cardano, with its first phase targeted for Q4 2026 and governance improvements in the second phase.
