Cardano Foundation Partners to Compensate Victims of $16.1M ADA Cyberattack

The Cardano Foundation has partnered with SecondFi to compensate victims of a June cyberattack. The attack resulted in $16.1 million worth of ADA being stolen from the SecondFi wallet, which will now permanently close its regular operations.

As part of their partnership, the SecondFi wallet will follow a roadmap presented by the Cardano Foundation to return the stolen funds to their rightful owners.

This move highlights the growing importance of on-chain cooperative payments and the efforts being made by the Cardano ecosystem to ensure that users are protected in case of such attacks.
