Cardano Foundation Puts Independent Auditor's Report On-Chain

The Cardano Foundation has made history by placing an independent auditor's report directly on the blockchain. Grant Thornton Switzerland attested to the Foundation's 2025 financial statements using Reeve, a financial data integrity platform that connects conventional accounting processes with public blockchain infrastructure.

This marks the first instance of an independent auditor publishing their formal audit opinion on a public blockchain. The move provides users with a direct way to verify the relationship between the auditor's opinion and the reported financial information through the Cardano ledger.

The Foundation holds approximately $361 million in assets, primarily held in ADA (51.6%) and Bitcoin (25.5%). This substantial allocation to volatile cryptocurrencies means transparency alone does not eliminate financial risk.
