Cardano Governance Crisis Deepens as Justin Bons Targets Charles Hoskinson
Cardano's governance has erupted into controversy as Justin Bons called for Charles Hoskinson to be removed from the project. In a viral post on X, Bons claimed that moving some governance discussions to a moderated Discord server would give IOHK-aligned groups control over which arguments reach delegated representatives before on-chain votes.
Bons also attacked IOHK's delivery on scaling, stating that Cardano's maximum capacity is about 23 transactions per second in 2026. This comes as Cardano faces scrutiny over throughput, adoption, and upgrades.
Hoskinson framed the Discord proposal as part of Cardano's Voltaire-era governance cleanup, saying moderated discussion can reduce noise and help DReps focus before votes.
