Cardano Hard Fork on Track for Next Month
Cardano (ADA) founder Charles Hoskinson confirmed that a hard fork is expected next month, aligning with the project's timeline. This comes as part of ongoing efforts to upgrade the network with the Leios scalability upgrade, which remains scheduled for delivery sometime this year.
Hoskinson outlined ecosystem momentum around cross-chain connectivity and stablecoin access during a recent livestream. He highlighted the integration of Cardano with more than 80 blockchains via LayerZero, as well as the introduction of USDCx, a stablecoin-like asset designed to preserve 'privacy' and 'can't be frozen.'
The founder also discussed the upcoming Midnight network launch, which he expects will occur next month. This marks a significant milestone for Cardano, building on recent progress with the Aiken development and node diversity.
