Cardano Jumps Amid Broader Crypto Rally Driven by US Policy Headlines
Cardano's price surged by approximately 6.2% over the last 20 hours, but this increase is largely attributed to a broad crypto rally driven by US policy headlines and falling bond yields.
The rally was sparked by President Trump's public support for a 'fair version' of the Digital Asset Market CLARITY Act, which lifted the entire crypto market, including Cardano. The US Treasury's announcement to expand bond buyback operations also pushed Treasury yields lower, improving overall risk appetite and favoring higher-beta assets like cryptocurrencies.
The move is seen as a sector-wide regulatory optimism shock rather than an ADA-specific news event. A short squeeze and altcoin beta move also played a significant role in the price increase, with more than $2 to 3 billion of leveraged crypto positions being liquidated in around 24 hours.
No new mainnet upgrade, hard fork, governance vote, or major partnership was announced by Cardano in the same time frame. The move is primarily driven by market-wide factors and positioning, with ADA participating as part of the large-cap altcoin basket rather than reacting to a unique Cardano event.
