Cardano Network Activity Surges as Daily Transactions Soar to New Heights
Cardano's network activity has seen a significant surge in recent days, with daily transactions reaching new heights. According to data from Chainspect, the blockchain processed over 24,000 transactions on Wednesday, marking its highest daily throughput of the previous week.
The momentum continued, with Cardano's daily transaction count rising another 33% over 24 hours to 32,841 at press time. This brings the total number of transactions since launch in September 2017 to approximately 123.02 million.
Cardano's developer activity remains strong, with Chainspect recording 303,143 commits for the network. While Polkadot leads with over 701,000 commits, Cardano ranks ahead of major ecosystems like Arbitrum and Optimism, which have roughly 200,000 and 182,000 commits respectively.
The DeFi sector on Cardano has also shown signs of renewed activity, with total value locked (TVL) increasing 6.05% over the past 24 hours to $58.01 million. Decentralized exchange volume has climbed 22.42% over the past week to $9.15 million.
Cardano's price has also seen a notable recovery, with ADA surging 13.08% over the past 24 hours to $0.2082. This brings its monthly gains to 21.35%, although it remains the 15th-largest crypto by market cap with a valuation of $7.6 billion.
