Cardano Price Falls Despite X402 Integration

Cardano's ADA token has fallen nearly 3% in the past 24 hours to trade near $0.204, despite its recent integration with the x402 payment standard.

The integration allows for machine-to-machine payments without conventional accounts or checkout systems, but it does not require users or developers to buy large amounts of ADA immediately.

Price action over the past week shows that buying has remained weak, with ADA trading above $0.22 on September 9 and briefly recovering towards $0.214 earlier this month.

The decline extends a pattern that has developed since late August, with ADA struggling to regain its peak around $0.24.

Pressure across the crypto market, including uncertainty around the Federal Reserve's policy decision and US Treasury yields climbing, has made it difficult for ADA to sustain recoveries.
