Cardano Price Rallies 25%, But Can Bulls Hold $0.20 Support?

Cardano's ($ADA) price has surged by over 25% in the past week, reaching an intraday high of $0.204 on August 7th. This rally comes amidst renewed interest in Cardano's development roadmap, including the network's entry into the Dijkstra development era following the Van Rossem hard fork in July.

According to crypto.news, large holders accumulated roughly 240 million $ADA before the breakout, while futures activity accelerated with a reported rise in weekly trading volume from about $150 million to nearly $650 million. This combination of spot accumulation and leveraged positioning helped $ADA move through the psychological $0.20 level.

However, fundamental weaknesses remain, as Cardano's decentralized finance ecosystem holds about $68 million in total value locked, leaving it well behind larger layer-1 networks. A reported decline in open interest and slightly negative funding also indicate that some derivatives traders continue to position against further gains.
