Cardano Slammed as 'Ghost Town' Amid Low Adoption Rates
Market commentator Lark Davis has questioned Cardano's (ADA) progress after eight years of existence, saying it has yet to achieve the level of adoption expected of a blockchain of its age.
In a response to Cardano SPO Sssebi, who expressed confidence in Charles Hoskinson and the project's long-term vision, Davis described Cardano as a 'ghost town' due to its weak on-chain metrics.
Davis compared Cardano's progress with that of Solana, noting that while Solana has processed over 126 billion transactions since launching in March 2020, Cardano has only processed about 124 million transactions in the same time frame.
Sssebi attributed Cardano's low adoption to its focus on governance and infrastructure development, but Davis remained unconvinced, arguing that technological upgrades will have limited significance if they fail to attract more users and generate greater activity on the network.
