Cardano Storms Top 5 in RWA Growth Amid Blockchain Tokenisation Boom
Cardano has made significant strides in the tokenisation of real-world assets (RWAs), ranking fifth among major blockchains in growth rate over the past 30 days. According to data from Token Terminal, Cardano's RWA value rose by 23.1% to $55.3 million during this period.
This growth outpaced some established large networks, including Avalanche and Sonic, despite Cardano being smaller in absolute market size. However, some networks posted even higher monthly growth rates, with Robinhood Chain surging 11,416.2% to rank first.
Cardano's expansion into RWA tokenisation is part of a broader trend that has seen the network partner with various companies and platforms to issue tokens on its blockchain. For example, EMURGO worked with compliant tokenisation platforms such as Haus, OpenEden, and DigiFT to put private credit, U.S. Treasuries, and insurance receivables factoring assets on the network.
Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has predicted that the RWA market could reach $10 trillion by 2030, which would further cement the network's position in this space.
