Cardano Suffers 15% Correction Amid Broader Market Pullback
Cardano (ADA) has dropped 15% in value over the past day, marking a sharp correction after a rapid rally. The decline is not isolated to ADA, as the broader market has also pulled back following a strong run.
The recent price action for ADA can be attributed to its technical overextension into local resistance at around $0.25. This led to a pullback, with traders taking profit and new buyers hesitating near resistance.
ValeriusLabs noted that spot markets were leading the move, with a 22% gain in 24 hours to about $0.25. Analysts also framed the move as a 'textbook triangle breakout' after months of consolidation, targeting $0.28-$0.30.
However, this rally was short-lived, and ADA's drawdown is larger than BTC or ETH, but directionally aligned with a broad, leverage-driven pullback. The market got crowded long after a strong rally, then a de-risking wave and liquidation cycle hit, hitting alts like ADA hardest.
