The Cardano Foundation and Brazilian blockchain firm Blockforce have launched a supply chain verification system that has already anchored over 500,000 records onto the Cardano network. The platform is designed to help Brazilian exporters comply with EU deforestation regulations by providing documentary proof of their products' origins.

Azzas 2154, Latin America's largest fashion conglomerate, is using the platform to trace its leather supply chain across more than 6,200 suppliers. The system has processed over 95,000 invoices in production and has achieved a 92% reduction in per-record anchoring costs thanks to Blockforce's uVerify batching protocol.

The dual-ledger design combines Hyperledger Fabric for sensitive data with Cardano blockchain for storing cryptographic verification proofs. This separation allows exporters to prove compliance without revealing trade secrets, making it an attractive solution for companies wary of exposing commercial relationships to regulators or competitors.
