Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has reassured investors that his project still has sufficient financial capacity to provide over $100 million in funding for ecosystem development this year. Despite a recent drop in its market-cap ranking, Cardano's on-chain treasury continues to generate revenue through its blockchain economic model.

The network's revenue and protocol inflation flow into the on-chain treasury, which is then allocated by the community under the governance system. Hoskinson stated that the treasury can support a budget of over $100 million this year for tasks such as software development, infrastructure upgrades, research, developer tools, and education programs.

According to Hoskinson, more than 30 to 40 companies are participating in product development, protocol improvements, decentralized application development, and infrastructure expansion with the treasury's support. This shift away from relying on Input Output Global (IOG) developers is a significant step for Cardano.
