Cardano Unveils Node Update as Dijkstra Hard Fork Rollout Begins
Cardano has released node version 11.1.1, marking the first step in the rollout of the Dijkstra hard fork. This maintenance update removes legacy tracing and fixes memory issues, preparing the network for upcoming features like Plutus V4, Nested Transactions, and Linear Leios.
The Dijkstra hard fork is a major upgrade that will introduce several significant updates to the Cardano network. The rollout of this hard fork has been divided into three phases: Phase 1 includes Nested Transactions and Linear Leios, which are scheduled to launch on Mainnet by the end of 2026; Phase 2 includes Peras, planned for mid-2027.
The public testnet, DijkstraNet, is also set to open soon. The Dijkstra hard fork itself has a tentative schedule between December 2026 and March 2027, pending technical readiness and governance approval.
