Cardano Unveils Tool for Seamless SAP Blockchain Integration

The Cardano (ADA) ecosystem has announced a new tool called ODATANO, designed to simplify integration between SAP and the Cardano blockchain. SAP is an enterprise software platform used by numerous large companies worldwide for managing core business processes.

ODATANO abstracts the Cardano blockchain infrastructure behind a standard OData V4 API, making it easier for SAP developers to integrate with Cardano without needing to learn complex blockchain concepts.

According to Maximilian, founder of ODATANO, traditional SAP developers would need to familiarize themselves with various blockchain processes such as transaction creation and key management in order to directly integrate with Cardano. ODATANO packages these complex processes within a service layer, allowing for seamless connection between SAP applications and the Cardano network.

The project currently offers 31 different entities and functions, including data reading, transaction creation, and signing. Several reference applications have been developed using the ODATANO infrastructure, with QUANTIX standing out as a B2B raw material procurement and payment application utilizing oracle data that won the 2026 Charli3 Oracle Hackathon.
