Cardano Whales Hoard $240M in Quiet Accumulation Push
Large investors have been quietly accumulating Cardano (ADA) tokens in recent months. Over the past five days, wallets holding between 100 million and 1 billion ADA added approximately $175 million worth of tokens to their holdings, bringing the total accumulated to around $240 million.
This surge in buying coincided with a 22% jump in ADA's price, which is currently trading at around $0.19. The recent daily gains clocked in at 8-9%, indicating a positive trend for the cryptocurrency.
This isn't an isolated event; throughout 2026, large holders have been on a sustained buying trend. During one six-month stretch earlier this year, whales and 'sharks' (slightly smaller large holders) added almost 820 million ADA to their wallets.
Cardano's on-chain activity hasn't exactly been setting the world on fire recently, but that's precisely the environment where patient capital likes to deploy. Large buyers can accumulate without moving the market too much against themselves when prices are suppressed and nobody's paying attention.
