Cardano Whales Snag $53M in ADA, But Price Stays Flat Amid Strong Long Bias
Large Cardano (ADA) investors have been actively accumulating tokens over the past week, buying up nearly $53 million worth of ADA. This whale activity has led to a significant increase in total large-wallet holdings, which now sit at around 13.84 billion ADA.
This accumulation pattern suggests that these investors are engaging in deliberate base-building rather than chasing short-term price moves. As a result, available liquidity on exchanges has tightened, reducing immediate sell-side pressure.
Despite this buying activity, the price of ADA remains stuck below its 50-day exponential moving average at $0.275. This resistance is further compounded by a prior rejection from $0.424, which confirms persistent selling at higher levels.
The Directional Movement Index (DMI) also paints a mixed picture, with sellers holding a slight edge but the bearish trend lacking real conviction. In contrast, top traders on Binance have shown a strong long bias, with 67.21% of accounts positioned long and a Long/Short Ratio of 2.05.
